They never leave our side and become our comfort blanket. Nipping onto Facebook to check-in at your local restaurant, checking emails, fitting in some last minute work on the train or taking photo’s of your friends on an evening out. These gadgets can cost a few hundred pounds so what would you do if it gets lost, stolen or damaged? Can you afford to pay outright for repairs or replacement?

Cover is for 12 months and you can pay upfront or spread your payments monthly by Direct Debit. You must have purchased the gadget new and have the original receipt for all items you are claiming for.

Taking your gadget abroad

Cover includes taking your gadgets with you on holiday anywhere in the world for up to 90 days in the year. So travel with peace of mind your gadgets are covered.

Is 24/7 Gadget cover suitable for me?

24/7 Gadget cover is typically suitable for those who wish to take out gadget cover protection for their holiday or trip. You may already possess alternative insurance(s) for some or all of the features and benefits provided by 24/7 Gadget cover. It is your responsibility to investigate this and we cannot provide you with any recommendation or advice about whether this product fulfils your specific requirements. You will need to make your own choice about how to proceed.

Gadget cover FAQ’s

Is there an excess to pay?

If you need to make a claim you will need to pay an excess before your claim can be settled.

The excess amount depends on the gadget you are claiming for:

Gadget up to the value of £250 (when new) the excess fee is £25 for a theft or damage claim and £50 for an accidental loss claim.

Any other Gadget the excess fee is £50 for a theft or damage claim and £75 for an accidental loss claim.

If you make a claim within the first 3 months of your policy there will be an additional excess fee to pay of £25.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay upfront for 12 months cover by VISA, Mastercard, Maestro or PayPal.

If you would prefer to spread the payments over 12 months, you can pay monthly via Direct Debit.

When does cover start?

Your gadget cover will be set up straight away. However, if you have an incident within the first 14 days of cover, it will excluded.

How do I make a claim?

In the event of a claim you must:

Report the theft / loss to the police within 48 hours of discovery.

Report the theft / loss of a mobile phone / PDA to your Service Provider immediately, but in any case within 24 hours of discovery.

If your claim relates to a faulty item, the faulty item must be provided.

Once all the requested information has been received we will aim to process your claim within 48 hours

What happens if I need to make a claim and I pay monthly?

If you choose to pay for your insurance monthly and make a claim in the first 12 months, you will be required to pay for the remainder of the year’s premium before we can authorise any claim.

Can I insure a gadget older than 12 months?

Yes, you can insure a gadget up to 18 months old when the insurance is first purchased. There is then no limit on how long you can continue to insure the item.
