Finding car hire
When booking your holiday through an agent, whether that be Thomas Cook or Expedia, they will always try and add other items to your list such as single trip travel insurance and car hire. Before adding these (plus others) to your booking list make sure you have shopped around first as you may find the same item cheaper.
Let’s have a look at car hire
There are a few different websites where you can compare car hire prices:
TravelSupermarket.com
They advertise their prices from only £7 per day. You put in your hire requirements and it compares numerous different hire car companies.
Gocompare.com
This website also compares different companies (as suggested in their name) advertising their lowest rate from £6 per day.
CarHireSearch.co.uk
They search 20 different hire car companies for the best price and have been around since 2005.
Or have a look at going direct:
Europcar.co.uk
Top of the google search list is Europcar. They are the leaders on car and van hire in the UK however do have locations around the world. You can save a considerable amount if you buy before you travel.
Hertz.co.uk
Next on the google list is Hertz who have far more pick-up locations than Europcar with a wider range of cars to choose from. Again pre-pay online and save.
Enterprise.com
I see many of these wandering around the town in the UK but they also do many worldwide locations with quite a range of cars.
There are many other websites, try searching online for your particular destination.
