So we are 9 days away from Valentine’s day. I’ve already booked a 7 course set meal for two at a wonderful pub down south, but are you yet to decide how to spend your weekend?
Here are some ideas to try:
De Vere hotels
De Vere venues tend to have special deals on all the time but if you log on now you might find a deal specially for the Valentine’s weekend.
Some deals come with a meal included and even breakfast the next day – no need to worry about taxi’s home, just enjoy what the hotel has to offer.
There are only certain venues available but if you aren’t fussed where you go and are happy to venture away for the weekend this could be a great deal.
Top secret hotels from Last Minute can prove to be a real bargain. You don’t get to know the name of your hotel until you have booked – so a nice surprise when you realise you saved a quarter of the actual price for a top end luxury hotel.
You can also check out Spa breaks to give both of you some pampering, either locally or if you fancy it, a bit further a field and stay in a hotel overnight.
The theatre can also be a great place to go to spend the evening, discounted tickets are for sale and you can even book a package deal where your meal is included in a local restaurant.
I’ve put the Travelodge in here because although in itself it’s not the most romantic of places to stay, if you decide to travel away from home to spoil your Valentine you don’t have to spend a fortune on staying the night. Flexible rates from only £35 mean you don’t have to drive home the same day and can relax more.
The Train Line
Fancy a trip into London to spoil your other half shopping or to visit some of London’s attractions such as the London Eye? The train line can get you there and cheaper too. If you book your tickets online in advance you can save £££’s.
Whatever you decide to do on Valentine’s make sure you enjoy it together!
